DLC Finally Coming to Borderlands 2 VR?

Its been over six years since Borderlands 2 was first released and chances are you’ve played it in some form or another. But, with Borderlands 3 on the horizon. Gearbox has added a few more cherries on top of the hype frosted cake. Not only will Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel be receiving a facelift in the form of the free, Ultra HD texture packs, but Borderlands 2 VR will be adding all four of its DLC packs to the game also for free.

Provided you have a PS4, this means that you’ll have access to:

  • Captain Scarlett and Her Pirates Booty – A not so nautical quest chain that sees you traversing the desert in search of missing pirate booty, dealing with the duplicitous Captain Scarlett and her former crewmates along the way and fighting off your fair share of horrid and disgusting new beasties.
  • Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage – What happens when a new vault is found on the surface of Pandora? A Badass Fighting Tournament filled with Loot, Explosions, and MORE EXPLOSIONS. This DLC sees you facing off against a plethora of Bosses to decide who gets to open this new vault and receive the loot hidden inside.
  • Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt – Now that you’ve saved the world and defeated Handsome Jack, its time for a much-needed vacation, luckily Sir Hammerlock has just the thing. Big Game Hunt sends you to the far off and exotic continent of Egress, and this being Pandora, your getaway is full to the brim with plenty of things to shoot. Whether its the local tribesmen, horrid mutant monsters or a mad hyperion scientist hellbent on cloning his former boss. There’s bound to be something to tingle your eyeballs in this adventure.
  • Last but certainly not least is Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep – What happens when a crazed teenager gets their hands on a copy of the Dungeons and Dragons handbook? An incredible fantasy adventure featuring the cast of both Borderlands 1 & 2. Fan favorites return and help bring the story of Borderlands 2 to an exciting and in some cases heartwarming conclusion.

With all this extra content on the way, Gearbox is probably hoping this will keep fans preoccupied while they put the finishing touches on Borderlands 3. Which as of yet has no set release date.

No word has been given on whether additional add-ons like the Ultimate Vault Hunter or Headhunter DLC packs will be added, but if all that Borderlands 2 has to offer isn’t enough for you. The original Borderlands will be getting a re-release on April 3rd along with all of its DLC and some added extras as well.
