IGN has officially showcased a brand-new poster for Sonic The Hedgehog 2. The poster for the game-based film, which is coming to theaters later this year, features all the mainstay characters, including Eggman and the titular blue hedgehog, while also debuting both Knuckles and Tails into the live-action world.
The poster itself, though, holds a significant amount of nostalgia for fans of Sonic’s 16-bit legacy. From Tails’ plane evading rockets no doubt sent out by Eggman to Knuckles and Sonic clashing over the Chaos Emeralds, certainly hitting the right nostalgia marks, this poster is clearly trying to capture the old fans to get into the spirit, too.
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 hits theaters April 8.
